Terms & house rules

On all agreements/reservations entered into by us, the Uniform Terms and Conditions for the Hospitality Industry (UVH) are (Download) applies. The UVH are binding on everyone who uses our services. In addition, the following house rules apply. In the rules below, you will find the most important house rules that apply within Hotel Ryder. We ask you to respect and accept these rules.

Cameras

For your and our safety, security cameras have been installed. If you visit a hospitality business that has video cameras, you agree that recordings will be taken. In special circumstances, these recordings can be shown to the police and the judiciary as supporting material.

Hospitality properties
You are not allowed to take property from the hotel outside. This also applies to food and drink leftovers. Anyone who causes damage is responsible for repair or renewal.

Visitors' properties
If you lose clothing or other property, the hotel cannot hold the hotel responsible for this.
Lost and found items If you find an item at the hotel that apparently belongs to another visitor, you must hand it in to one of our employees. Whoever picks up a found object must be able to identify themselves.

Narcotics and hallucinations
You are not allowed to use hard drugs, soft drugs or pills inside the hotel. This also includes the use of whipped cream and nitrous oxide ampoules. Our employees may ask you to cooperate with the search. If you refuse to be searched or if you are caught busy or used, removal and warning the police will follow.

Sexual harassment, racism, discrimination and aggression
Unwanted intimacy, racism and discrimination, as well as aggression against employees and visitors to the hotel, will not be tolerated. Anyone who behaves in an annoying or offensive way inside or outside the hospitality business will be denied access. In case of threat, abuse or other forms of aggression, a report will be made at all times.

Trade in goods
It is prohibited to trade goods in or around the company and/or engage in healing.

Weapons
You are not allowed to have weapons in your pocket. In case of violation, we warn the police.

Use of the toilet
Restrooms are for individual use only. Staying for other reasons is not allowed.

First aid
This hotel has a first aid kit and first aid can be provided. There is also an AED device near the food hall (adjoining building).

Complaints

If you have a complaint, report it immediately to management. However, do this immediately, because your right to complain will expire at a later stage. We are available 24 hours a day and are happy to help you.

Sign in
All guests must report to reception with a valid ID at the start of a stay or visit to a room.

Emergency exits
It is prohibited to use emergency exits as regular entrances and exits.

Smoking
The entire hotel is smoke-free. Smoking is allowed on the outdoor terraces. It is not allowed to use a super smoker, vape, e-cigarette or similar replacement for cigarettes inside the hotel. Smoking in a hotel room results in a penalty of €150, - in cleaning costs. When the fire alarm is triggered by smoking in the room, it is automatically removed from the hotel.

Safety features

Disabling and/or abusing our fire or safety facilities automatically results in removal from the hotel. This without a refund of the room price and any deposit paid.

Alcoholic drinks and cigarettes
If, in our opinion, you have drunk too much, you may be denied the consumption of alcoholic beverages. Under the age of 18, no alcoholic drinks or cigarettes are provided.

Loss, damage, injury
Hotel Ryder is not liable for loss and/or damage to guests' property. The hotel is also not liable in case of injury to persons.

Stay
We kindly request that you take our other guests into account throughout your stay at the hotel and not cause noise or inconvenience to both guests and local residents.

Underage guests and overnight stays

People under 18 years old who want to stay at the hotel must have written permission from both parents. Without this permission or physical presence, we are not allowed to check you in.

Distress or nuisance
In case of an emergency or inconvenience, you should always call +31 73 203 25 93 from your room. In case of emergencies, you must follow the instructions/instructions of the staff in the interest of safety. In case of a life-threatening emergency, please call 112.

Pets
Pets are not allowed in the hotel. Pets are allowed in outdoor areas such as the terrace.

Night's sleep
In the hotel, it should be quiet in the corridors and rooms from 11 p.m. After 10 pm, it is no longer possible to use our facilities outside the hotel, such as on the terrace. In doing so, we want to prevent noise pollution to our local residents.

Violation of house and conduct rules

If you break the house and conduct rules, you may be removed by the management. If criminal offences are detected, a report will be reported to the police at all times.

Entered hotel rooms
Hotel Ryder reserves the right to enter a hotel room if we deem it necessary. For example, in the event of (a suspicion of) violation of the house rules.

Verbal instructions
Instructions from our employees must be followed at all times and are therefore binding.

Privacy

Privacy at Hotel Ryder
Hotel Ryder values your privacy. That is why we only process data that we need for our services and improving them. Of course, we will handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your information available to third parties, other than those listed below, for commercial purposes.

The privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the related services provided by Hotel Ryder.
The effective date for the validity of these terms and conditions is 01/01/2024. With the publication of a new version, the validity of all previous versions expires. The privacy policy describes what data is collected by us, what this information is used for and with whom and under what conditions this information may be shared with third parties. We also explain to you below how we store your data and how we protect your data against misuse, what rights you have with regard to the personal data you provide to us. We do not process special and/or sensitive personal data. Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are under 16 years old. Unless they have permission from parents or guardians. However, we cannot check whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore recommend that parents be involved in their children's online activities to prevent data about children from being collected without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal information about a minor without that consent, please contact us at hello@hotelryder.nl, then we will delete this information.

Automated decision making
Hotel Ryder does not make decisions about matters that can have (significant) consequences for people based on automated processing. These are decisions taken by computer programs or systems without human intervention.

Purpose of data processing 
General purpose of processing
We only use your data for the purpose of providing our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the order you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing other than what is stated in this privacy policy. If you share information with us and we use this information to contact you later - other than at your request - we will explicitly ask you for permission to do so. Your information will not be shared with third parties, other than to comply with accounting and other administrative or legal obligations. These third parties are all obliged to maintain confidentiality on the basis of an agreement, oath or legal obligation.

Hotel Ryder collects and processes your data for the following purposes:
Handling your or our payments.
Sending our newsletter and/or advertising brochure.
Being able to call or email if necessary to provide our services.
Informing you about changes to our services and products Delivering goods and services to you.
Analyzing your behavior on the website in order to improve the website and to tailor the range of products and services to your preferences.
Processing personal data if we are legally obliged to do so, such as information that we need for our tax return.

Retention period of personal data
Hotel Ryder keeps your data as long as we maintain a business relationship. This means that we keep your data until you indicate that you no longer want to use our services. Based on applicable legal obligations, we must, among other things, keep invoices with your (personal) data, so we will keep this information for as long as the applicable period runs. However, Hotel Ryder does not store your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. Data that is automatically collected by our website is processed with the aim of further improving our services. This information (for example, your IP address, web browser, and operating system) is not personal data.

Sharing personal data
Hotel Ryder does not sell your information to third parties. We conclude a processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Hotel Ryder remains responsible for these processing operations.

Brevo
We send our email newsletters with Brevo. Brevo will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every e-mail sent automatically via our website, you will see the “unsubscribe” link that allows you to unsubscribe. You will then no longer receive our newsletter. Your personal data is stored securely by Brevo. Brevo uses cookies and other internet technologies that provide insight into whether e-mails are opened and read. Brevo reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and, in this context, to share (anonymized) information with third parties.

iDEAL
We use the iDEAL platform to process (part of) the payments in our reservation module. iDEAL processes your name, address and place of residence details and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. iDEAL has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. iDEAL reserves the right to further improve the service and share (anonymized) data with third parties as part of this. iDEAL shares in case of a request for a deferred payment (credit facility), personal data and information regarding your financial position with credit rating agencies. All the above mentioned safeguards with regard to the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of iDEAL's services for which they engage third parties. iDEAL does not store your data longer than allowed by the legal terms.

Reviews
We collect reviews via various platforms. If you leave a review, you are required to provide your name, place of residence and email address. Our review partners share this information with us so that we can link the review to your order or hotel visit and use your feedback to improve our services. In some cases, Hotel Ryder may be required by law to share your information in connection with government tax or criminal investigations. In such a case, we are forced to share your information, but we will oppose this within the possibilities offered by law.

Your rights
Under applicable Dutch and European legislation, you, as a data subject, have certain rights with regard to the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. Below, we explain what rights these are and how you can exercise these rights.

Right to view
You always have the right to view the data that we (have) processed and that relates to or can be traced back to your person. You can make a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data with an overview of the processors who hold this data at the email address known to us, stating the category under which we have stored this data.

Right to correction or deletion
You always have the right to have the data that we process (or have) processed and that relates to your person or that can be traced back to you, adjusted. You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You can submit a (written) request to us via our privacy contact person (see bottom of this document).

Right to restrict processing
You always have the right to limit the data that we process (or have) processed that relates to or can be traced back to your person. You can make a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation at the email address known to us that the data will no longer be processed until you remove the restriction.

Right to portability and/or right to object
If you want to exercise your right to object and/or right to data portability or if you have other questions/comments about data processing, please send a specified request to our privacy contact person. To ensure that the request for inspection has been made by you, we ask you to include a copy of your ID with the request. In this copy, make your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and social security number (BSN) black. This is to protect your privacy. Hotel Ryder will respond to your request as soon as possible, but in any case within 30 days. Hotel Ryder would also like to point out that you have the option to file a complaint with the National Supervisor, the Data Protection Authority, at any time if you suspect that we are using your personal data in the wrong way. that can be done via this link:

Personal data security
Hotel Ryder takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of abuse, please contact hello@hotelryder.nl.

Use social media
The Hotel Ryder website (s), www.hotelryder.nl, includes buttons and/or links to promote or share web pages on social (media) networks or third-party websites, such as X, Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram. Hotel Ryder does not supervise and is not responsible for the processing of your personal data by and through such third parties. The use of these media is therefore at your own risk. Before using those third-party services, it is advisable to read the privacy statement of those third parties first.

Statistics and cookies
Hotel Ryder keeps track of the usage data of the website (s) for statistical purposes. The personal data collected in this way is in principle anonymous and is not sold by Hotel Ryder to third parties. In order to increase the usability of Hotel Ryder's website (s), so-called “cookies” are used. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on, for example, your computer, tablet or smartphone during your visit to the Hotel Ryder website (s). You can refuse the use of these cookies at any time, although this may limit the functionality and ease of use of the website (s).

The Hotel Ryder website uses Google Analytics cookies to broadly track user behavior and general trends and to obtain reports. This helps to improve the functioning of the website (s). Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is required to do so by law or if third parties process the information on Google's behalf. By using the Hotel Ryder website (s), you consent to the processing of the information by Google in the manner and for the purposes described above. Cookies are also placed by using buttons and/or links, as described above under “Use social media”. Hotel Ryder has no influence on the placement and use of cookies by those third parties. You can read more about cookies and how to block or delete them on the website of the Consumer and Market Authority.

Remarketing
Hotel Ryder uses remarketing technologies. These technologies make it possible to contact people who (by using the Hotel Ryder website and/or by subscribing to the newsletter) have already shown interest in Hotel Ryder and/or one of its products and/or services via the websites of Hotel Ryder's partners. This is a personalized and interest-based personal advertisement/offer. This form is fully automated and anonymous. For example, a user may find such a form of remarketing on social media channels including, but not limited to, X, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook.

Changes to the privacy statement
We reserve the right to change our privacy policy at any time. However, you will always find the most recent version on this page. Changes to the privacy statement will be published on our website. That is why you should check our website regularly.
